I don’t know why I didn’t look into this earlier, but Price Matching is such a quick and easy way to save time and money on your groceries! No longer will you have to spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon driving from store to store to get the best deals.
Here’s how to Price Match at grocery stores in 4 easy steps!
Step 1: Find a grocery store with a Price Match Policy.
Canadian Grocery Stores that Price Match:
- No Frills
- Real Canadian Superstore
Step 2: Plan your menu for the week, then make your grocery list.
Step 3: Use the free Flipp app to search for items on your grocery list.
Flipp makes it incredibly easy because of its search functionality – a quick search for “Peanut Butter” shows that it’s on sale at multiple stores this week, but Food Basics and Sobeys have Kraft PB on sale for $3.99.
I used Flipp this week at No Frills to get 2 tubs of Activia yogurt for $5 instead of their listed price of $4.49 each because that’s what Loblaws had it on sale for this week!
Step 4: Go shopping!
Fill up your cart but try to stay organized – put all the items you’ll be price matching together. Show the cashier the flyer you’re price matching before he/she scans each item so they can manually adjust the price, then watch the savings accumulate!
