Here’s a quick and easy recipe for a lovely snack! I’ve recently become addicted to peanut butter after having avoided it for many years – I blame it on my Doberman’s reaction… every time he even hears the words “Peanut Butter” or sees the cupboard where the PB is stored being open, he’s right by my side drooling.
Peanut Butter Balls
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup raw oats
- (optional): 1 scoop of chocolate or vanilla protein powder (for those of you that work out or need that extra protein!)
- (optional): nuts or seeds
Step 1: Combine all ingredients in a bowl until thoroughly mixed
Step 2: Using a teaspoon or tablespoon (depending on the ball size that you prefer), scoop lumps out of the mixture into a container. Refrigerate.
Step 3: If desired, roll lumps into balls after mixture has cooled in fridge. Waiting until it’s cold makes it much easier to roll and is a lot less messy, since you won’t get much of it stuck to your hands.
